Basilique - Abbaye Saint-Martin d'Ainayin brief
The Only romanesque church in Lyon, it was built by the Benedictine monks in IV century, completed in 950.
It was dedicated for pope Pascal II in 1107.
Louis XII visited it in 1504, Francois I in 1536, Henri II in 1548, and Marie de Médicis, Louis XIV et Anne payed it a visit too .
The church was transformed into a granary for the revolution until 1802 , then it was restored .> Learn more :
